  • Toaster Van

We've just noticed on this page: that the diagram towards the bottom has an image of a mobility TransCon with the spare tire mounted inside the van. Just wondering if this is something you can have installed at your shop or who does this type of installation. We Have the 2015 TransCon XL SWB and we want to relocate the spare tire under the van to inside the van as seen in the diagram. Please forward this message to whom even necessary that can help us relocate our spare tire. Thank you.

Hey Toaster Van, that's a specific conversion and if you want us to help you out with it, give us a call - 1-888-RIDE-AWAY. Tell the store what picture you're referring to and they will help.

Thanks much.. I was going to attempt this relocation myself, but we're unsure if there was enough room and clearance for our needs seeing how we're going to be using the floor for our sleeping arrangement.
In the first image(top) it shows that the spare tire is or can be mounted on the inside of the van as to allow for a ramp. We're not going to be using a ramp, but we wanted to relocate the spare from under the van to inside the van. I'm under the assumption that we could get away with having a balloon tire just as a back up spare instead of the full size we currently have.
The balloon tire wouldn't take up as much space as the full size. Do you agree?.
