Ride-Away would like to take this opportunity to say thank you to all of our Veterans for allowing of us to enjoy the freedoms we have every day as a result of your sacrifices. We have established an adaptive equipment maintenance program honoring our disabled Veterans. Read more below about our industry leading VetMobileOps Program.
According to the United States Department of Veteran Affairs (www.va.gov), of the 25 million Veterans currently alive, nearly three of every four served during a war or an official period of hostility. Additionally, about a quarter of the nation's population -- approximately 70 million people -- are potentially eligible for VA benefits and services because they are veterans, family members or survivors of veterans.
*The Veterans' Administration offers a one-time automobile grant of $18,900 for 100% Service Connected Veterans that meet stringent guidelines. Talk to you VA counselor or prosthetics doctor for more information.**100% Service Connected Veterans are eligible for two vehicle conversions every four years or one every two years. Veterans that trade their modified vehicle in every two years typically have less out-of-pocket expense getting into a new wheelchair van than a veteran that trades at a later date.†The Veterans' Administration will allow for the purchase of a pre-owned wheelchair van using their depreciation schedule for reimbursement.

In appreciation of the great sacrifices made by the men and women of our armed forces, we have established the VetsMobileOps Program, which provides free operational maintenance on adaptive equipment for any disabled veteran. The preventative maintenance of a wheelchair vehicle is extremely important and it is our pleasure to remove the costs of diagnosing your equipment every 6 months if you are a veteran.
Every six months, any disabled Veteran may take advantage of the VetsMobileOps Program by bringing his/her modified vehicle to any on of Ride-Away's 11 East Coast locations for a FREE accessibility and maintenance check. This check-up will include:
A detailed operational maintenance form will be provided to the Veteran that will contain a written description of the work performed and a list of any items that may require future attention on your wheelchair vehicle.
To schedule a VetsMobileOps Program appointment, please contact us at 877-659-9414 and let one of our Service Technicians perform our free operational maintenance check-ups as our way of saying "thank you" for all you have done for our country.
** Please note that it is NOT necessary for adaptive equipment to have originally been purchased from Ride-Away.
